Freehold Art Society Up-Coming Events
The Freehold Art Society will hold a meeting, CREATE A STILL LIFE, on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 25 Symmes Drive, Manalapan, at 7:00 PM. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. A still life will be set up, and participants are invited to draw or paint and have fun. Beginning artists are welcome. Bring materials you choose to use. Members will be available to help. The library requests you park in the Alexandria Drive lot behind the building. Check at the desk for room assignment. Several members of the Freehold Art Society will exhibit their work at the historic Wainright House and Museum, 48 Main Street, Farmingdale. An opening reception is free and open to the public on Saturday, September 13, 2015, from 1-4 PM. Refreshments will be served. Virginia Wooley, owner of the museum, will gladly give a tour of the oldest building in Farmingdale. The exhibit can also be viewed every Saturday from 10-2 PM, and Sundays from 1-4 PM. The new Freehold Art Gallery, located at 7-A West Main Street, Freehold, will have its first opening reception on Saturday, September 12th, from 7-9 PM. Several members of the Freehold Art Society will display their work along with three featured artists, Leslie Daily, an art society member, Richard Berger and Wally Zuber. Three society artists, Hema Gupta, Leslie Daley, and Linda Sanfilippo, will demonstrate painting on the sidewalk outside the entrance from 4-6 PM on the 12th.
