For the second year, the Freehold Borough Arts Council is inviting the public and community to a free concert in front of the Hall of Records, in downtown Freehold, featuring the high school jazz bands from the Freehold Borough High School and the Manalapan High School.
The event is to be held on Friday May 22 at 7pm. The rain date will be Saturday May 23 at 7pm. The public is invited to bring a chair and enjoy the music. It is a pleasure for the FBAC to show off how much talent can be found in the local schools.
The Freehold Borough High School Jazz band is directed by Eric Gross. The Manalapan High School Jazz band is directed by Hose Maunez.
This jazz show will be the first of many jazz and blues shows that the FBAC will hold this year. Beginning June 28 we will begin an eleven concert series each Sunday Night at the Freehold gazebo. Later on in the year we expect to bring an international jazz guitar player to Freehold Borough for a world class concert.
The public is encouraged to visit the FBAC at www.freeholdborougharts.org to find out about all of the arts and music events in Freehold Borough. The FBAC can be reached at info@freeholdborougharts.org or by calling organization president Jeff Friedman at (908) 614- 6195
